Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Protect yourself and your loved ones from this far reaching disease
Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. I want to spend some time this morning discussing a serious and common cancer condition that I am sure has touched most of our lives already in some manner…Breast Cancer. During October we will hear a lot about this condition and have a chance to participate in a local Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday October 20th. Check the Patriot-News for more details on the walk. But walking and talking are not enough. If you are a woman over the age of 40 and have not had a mammogram…get one done. Then take the time to have it done annually. If you are a man…listening, and a woman you love is over 40, encourage her to be screened annually with a mammogram. Recent data show that fewer women are taking advantage of this important diagnostic tool. There are several local facilities that can provide this service. Make the time to get it done…for yourself…for those you love…and for those who love you. Thank you.
