Heart Month
Ways to maintain a healthy heart.
Good morning this is Doctor Joe Cincotta. February, traditionally recognized as heart month. I have had the privilege to witness the health promoting impact and the power of love on our health. As a physician I also recognize the importance of some of the more technical aspects of promoting a healthy heart. We are one month into the New Year and have an opportunity now to strengthen the resolutions we made last month to improve our health and our hearts. Healthy food choices, controlling weight, exercising four times a week and taking medication regularly when prescribed. There is nothing fancy here. Most of this program costs nothing and has no negative side affects. Results are not dramatic in the short term, but the impact over the long term can truly be life saving. We can do this, for ourselves, for those we love, and who love us, so that we are healthy for this Valentines Day and for many more to come.
